North Bergen Mayor Nicholas Sacco and NBC 4 New York have been in a 20 month PR battle, and NBC’s live broadcast on Friday night suggest no end in sight.

“We stand by our reporting,” says NBC 4 New York’s Chief Investigative Reporter Jonathan Dienst. “And we will continue to work these stories.”

This statement comes after multiple public jabs at the network’s investigations and reporters.

North Bergen township spokesperson suggest that the reporters at NBC4 are, “biased and working with the political opposition in the township.”

Friday marks the 17th report in 20 months by NBC4 questioning the township and/or its workers of fraud or corruption.
